Does Natural Stone need sealing?

The cost of sealing is minimal. In the past customers have been turned off using a Natural stone for their benchtops due to fear of staining. This is not the case anymore with the range of new age sealers available to the market customers can rest assured of a easily cleanable and useable benchtop.

What is the difference between Marble & Granite?

In relation to useability of both in a household environment, Granite will generally be stronger and less susceptible to scratching, staining and etching. Granite is in most cases the prefered choice for kitchen benchtops due to its stronger characteristics. However marble can be sealed to prevent staining/ etching and scratches can easily be repaired compared to granite. Marble is most commonly used in Bathroom benchtops, and wall / floor applications. Visibly marble can be characterised by its natural soft appearance, Granite in most cases has a more distinct sharp definition to its patterns.
